I have one of my feelings. I think my nan might be dead. My mother mentioned her in an anecdote earlier, and 'You Win Again' by the Bee Gees just came on the radio. I felt chilled to the bone, as its one of her all time faves. I did say I wanted to hear nothing more, ever, from any of them, about anything.

I should ring my sister, although (incredibly that such a thing could be possible) she's probably more out of their loop than I am. I could ring round every hospital south of the river, asking if any Dolly Parton/Barbara Windsor lookalikes have recently snuffed it on the premises.

Most oddly, it's just been followed by Billy Joel 'It's My Life', which happens to be one of my all time faves. My feelings about the departed of this world first started when I was 6, and have yet to be wrong. It's the reason I have never carried a brown handbag of the QEII handle style.

To my regret, I denied her access to the front row at my fathers/her sons funeral. I had in the back of my mind that I would sit at the back of hers, and arrange to leave via a staff exit rather than go out the line up side.

Something strange is happening. The radio is just now playing Eurythmics 'The Last Time', which is not just mine, but one of my mothers all times favourite songs. I'm sorry my son will never know that London.

I'm not sorry he doesn't know her London. Hard faced **** that she is. I've never come to terms with how cruel she is, how hard faced a person can be. She'd have turned 80 last year. She's always 50 in my minds eye.

For the car? The sound and smell of those really takes me back to when I was about 5 and my dad used one on our Talbot Alpine - with vinyl roof.

I visited my storage units. The one in Zarnichester was devoid of other customers, and I worked busily to isolate stuff to be dumped.

But the one here in Fanford was bustling with people, I'm not going at 1pm Sunday again.
