I shall give it 4 stars, as it ran out of steam a bit after a while.

Well, I find it impossible to not only dislike, but to not love Ronnie Lane.
He was a small marvel and a real character.
His musical contribution during his mere 51 years (how old I am now) was triffic and he remained - and remains - underrated and under-appreciated by everyone but his friends and peers.
God bless him and god bless his music.
This album isn't his absolute best - even the best Slim Chance album - but it also can't be held up as a single example of everything he achieved.

I'd like to think that ButtonZ would give it a listen and not just ignore it like all the other albums I nominate and he isn't available to do.
Then, after, we could do something like Rough Mix or one of those other wacky Ronnie and Pete collaborations?

More like the sort of thing they played at early Line dancing. I'd imagine.

I'm getting really freakin' bored of 70s music.

Well, apart from Disco. This is very 70s.
This isn't Disco.
Or Glam. It's not Glam either.

This one might be alright with the boisterous singing. But it needs de-Dylaning.

Actually it sounds likes it's equidistance between Dylan and Ry Cooder. Maybe a bit of Neil Young on the side. Or at least how I imagine a Ry Cooder album would sound.

Suppose it's more Country Rock.
That last one was alright, this one sounds like a more subdued Faces. Or possibly Small Faces.
