Velvet Underground or Nylon Overalls?
Re: The Velvet Underground – Loaded (1970)
This song is fairly long.
But it's good.

This reminds me of something, But I'm too tired to work out what.

Of course the thing it reminded me off, might be a rip off of this.
I've a horrible feeling I know exactly how this song will go.

This slightly shambolic crescendo is so much better than a Zappa-dictated technical masterclass in overbearance.

It is over.
It was a solid but uninspired album that was, thankfully, lacking in Lou Reed vocals. I'm not sure which songs Andy Warhol sang.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I'll go ★★★ Sounded very of its time, and they may have written half of those clichés, but they're still clichés by now.
Well, I say now, by about the mid 70s.

Well, TVU have never been a fave of mine.
This album is the most accessible of them all though.
Regardless of the cold cynicism Who Loves the Sun received here I still like it.
The next few tracks are very good and, after rambling for a bit, it ends very sweetly and melancholically with Oh! Sweet Nuthin'.
The latter song reminds me of the title track of Coney Island Baby, which is no bad thing.
Still, it's no 5 star LP.
Nothing they did ever was.
