I know you think you're awful square
But you made everyone, and you've been everywhere
Lord, I'd take an overdose, if you knew what's going down

Last track - Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family.

This is the most fun I'ever had listening to this album.
I really love its strangeness.
It's uncompromising.
Right down to this bonkerZ finale.

It's almost over.
I can't remember, I think it's a locked groove on the LP.

He's doing it right then.

It is over.
GR8 album. I have no need to ever listen to it again. Well, maybe in 10 years or so.

It is over.
As always with him, the emotional disconnection, artifice, affectation and desperation to be cooler than thou quickly repelled me.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I would say 20 years, but I've just worked out how old I will be then.

I shall give it 3 stars because it was better than the other albums of his that we've done.

Y'know, DDs has always been one of my less favourite Bovvie albums, but listening to it in conjunction with you other Wendigans and concentrating quite closely and following the lyrics on 'typical lyric archive site No. 30,045' I've come to realise that it's a real masterpiece of anomalous strangeness.
Rebel Rebel aside, which still does nothing for me (other than make me think of a sweltering tramp), it's a genuinely odd, quite disjointed but nonetheless amazing and bold album.
What it may lack in regards catchy tunes - and even basic coherence - it makes up for with artistic ambition, bravery and a truly Da-Da-esque elan.
Top Marx from me.
