Jagger pronounces "burn" as "boyne".

This is a bit of an odd Satanic Majesty's Request knock off.

I taped this album for someone once, he worked in a shop.
He put it on the sounds.

It's a bit of lightweight fluff really.
Still better than Star Me Kitten.

It is over.
The first half of it was pleasantly diverting, if short of actual songs. The second half felt very undistinguished and going-through-the-motions.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

This sums it up perfectly...
Goats Head Soup is now generally considered to be the Stones' first step away from their "golden age" of 1968–1972 with Stephen Thomas Erlewine saying, "Sliding out of perhaps the greatest winning streak in rock history, the Stones slipped into decadence and rock star excess with Goats Head Soup... This is where the Stones' image began to eclipse their accomplishments, as Mick ascended to jet-setting celebrity and Keith slowly sunk deeper into addiction, and it's possible hearing them moving in both directions on Goats Head Soup, at times in the same song"
