He's trying to F*dge with Lennon's mind.
One second all passive aggressive, the next gushing with love and affection.
The evil dastard.

Re: Wings - Wild Life (1971)
It is over.
It picked up considerably on Side B (oh the irony
).
Side A was a bit of a shocker though.
The properly good tracks on Side A were however a strange mix of too short or too long, despite their relative goodsongness.
It's clearly an album...
Yes.
It's definitely an album of songs.
An album of songs by a person.

Re: Wings - Wild Life (1971)
It's an odd album. You'd think someone would want to launch their new band with a bang. Instead, he deliberately set out to create the least ambitious album of his career.
Wildlife is among my five or six favourite Wings tracks. Dear Friend is a potentially great song that goes on for twice as long as it should do. Other tracks are pleasant but are recorded without the oomph needed to make them fulfil their potential.
Overall, it's like a demo of the album he could have made. As such, it's gently pleasing but dispensable.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.![Excited](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4075307247.gif)

Re: Wings - Wild Life (1971)
Really, I want to give it 2.5 stars and we don't have that option. I remember giving London Town 3 stars, so I can't give this 3 stars, as this isn't anywhere near as good as London Town. Therefore, I have given it 2.
