Going into town
I went into town early this morning, I was off before 9.
I bought a Filofax diary for next year, and I had a wander round the big department store looking at beautiful coats which cost £160.
Then I bought groceries and gin and came home.

Re: Going into town
I've only been into town once since lockdown began.
There were people there.

Re: Going into town
Really? I've known lots of people who lived in London who would refer to going to the middle bit of London as 'going to town' or 'going to London.'
I'm not scared of going to town at all. I've been every week, even the first weekend of the shutdown.
