I was watering the potato bed this afternoon when a blackbird flew down off the fence and walked calmly over the soil pecking for things. It sauntered past me less than a yard away, and wandered nonchalantly off over the lawn. It knew I was there too, it kept looking at me with its beady eye.

I've just had a bullfinch frolicking around on my front path. I've never seen one before and had to use the Internet to identify it. It was hovering around, pecking at my various plants and bushes. happy

2 weeks ago there were 6 Starlings in the garden
1 week ago there was 18
Just counted about 50 today

I had four blue budgies. The first was called Tanya, as were the collection of ladybirds I used to bring in, and the cat I managed to hide in my room/bed until the source of my brothers allergic reaction was traced. The goldfish were called Tanya I, Tanya II, and Tanya III. Tanya the budgie ate Tanya the caterpillar, after I put them together to become friends.

My next budgie flew out of an open window - I'd not registered it was wide open. The third I found dead on the cage floor after returning from a shopping trip. The fourth preferred my grandmother so it went to live with her, where it blossomed into a happy and gregarious bird, which made lots of kissing noises it had copied from her, and enjoyed a long life.
