And that means that this week's UK Number One, as predicted by me, last week, is All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey, meaning it's hit the top spot for the first time, after more than 30 years of regular chart appearances.

But what's that at Number Two, another ancient Christmas song that's never reached Number One and, like Mariah Carey, has previously only ever peaked in second spot? Could it snatch the crown from her at the last moment, next week?

No sign of Greg Lake or the Waitresses in the whole of the Top 100.

And Gilbert O'Sullivan's Christmas song seems to have been totally forgotten, nowadays, even though it was a staple on Christmas radio when I was little.

Now for the album chart.

Product of My Environment by Abra Cadabra is in at 29.

Wonder by Shawn Mendes is in at 12.

Don't Let the Devil Take Another Day by Kelly Jones is in at 8.
