Miss Grace or Disgrace?
Re: Grace Jones - Nightclubbing (1981)
It already has four votes. Is it going to get the highest number of votes of any album we've ever done?

Well, what a fantastic album.
The perfect balance of style and content.
Ms. Grace's charisma and power shine brightly and the band are just incredible.
Sly and Robbie's rhythmic genius both underpins and sparkles throughout.
The synths are glorious.
IMHO, one of the very best albums ever made.

Well, Guesticles was obviously detained elsewhere, so I shall wait until his vote has been submitted.

A solid 4 from me, it's an album that I had forgotten about and listening tonight brings back memories, I have it on cassette and I listened to it a lot in my darkroom at work when I was a Photograpic Printer in the 80's and 90's.

Well, if Gezzies votes, then yes, it'll be the first album to receive 5 votes.

I've always considered myself a mild Grace Jones fan - the only one I know in actual real life - yet I appear to have given it the lowest score.

I'm not sure about the song, but the blood warm, intertwining precision production,

Among the lines are "Pull up to my bumper baby / In your long black limousine / Pull up to my bumper baby / Drive it in between", "Grease it / Spray it / Let me lubricate it" and "I've got to blow your horn." However, in a 2008 interview with the Q magazine, Jones revealed that the meaning of the lyrics were not necessarily meant to be interpreted as a metaphor for Batty fun[10]
