The singer was Maggie Bell.
Didn't she have a hit with BA Robertson?

I dunno about that, but she was on the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, so there's a stamp of quality right there.
According to https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?b=15730 This is their worst album

According to the internet he was born in 1956 which would make him 25.
But as he had an album out in 1973, where he had a full beard on the cover, that would seem 'unlikely'.
