Re: Genya Ravan - Urban Desire (1978)
It is over.
It was well enough played and she has presence but the songs were undistinguished and it all felt generic. Ultimately, it felt like all style and no substance.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, I enjoyed that a great deal.
There was nothing all that original about it, but then again Genya Ravan is a bit of a dark horse on this side of the pond - largely unknown, despite her influence and long-standing place in American pop and rock since the Phil Spector days.
Chosen on impulse while scrolling through my iTunes, desperately trying to find something to do, I think it was a small slice of fortune I chanced upon the album.
