Nearly 27 degrees in my bedroom.

I wish I knew what the temperature is but I don't have a thermometer, and the thermometer shop is closed.

Now 27.4 degrees and 59% humidity.
The little smiley face has now vanished off the screen, meaning they are officially treacherous conditions in my bedroom.

This is exactly my model (£7.99 from Amazon), and there's the little "comfort" smiley face which has now vanished.

It was hot here last night too. I had to turn the air-conditioning down from 23 C to 22 C.

Interestingly, from October to March this is always one of the cheapest Premier Inns on Clydeside, but the rest of the year, it's one of the priciest.

I'm beginning to wonder if that's due to the cost of running the air-conditioning (which most PIs don't have).

23 C thanks to the closed curtains and air conditioning.

But if I place my palm on the inside of the curtains I can feel the heat.

25 degrees. The last couple of days have been a degree or two cooler in my bedroom than the peak of 27.8 on.... Monday.

It's a wee bit warrum.

Currently a pleasantish 21.0 degrees in my bedroom.
However,  the humidity is currently 62% and the little smiley face has turned to a   and now says "WET" rather than the usual "COMFORT".

I had the most wonderful alarm clock with a display a bit like that. Big display, with a button the entire width and length along the top of it which you could almost aimlessly hit to light up allowing you to see the time and temperature in the dark, or hit to cancel the alarm - which was a gentle bleeping that started off softly, rather than the intrusive heart racing shock that so many alarms induce. My grandparents bought it for me when I started high school, and I had it until I was well into my 20’s when it went missing.

The humidity has fallen from a peak of 64% yesterday, with the little "wet" serious face, to 59% and a return of the "comfort" smiley face.

I've bought a thermometer at the Wilko's closing down sale. It is a foot long and is telling me the temperature in this room is 25 degrees C, 76 degrees F.

But I've got the heating's thermostat set to 18 degrees. How can it be 25 degrees if the thermostat's set to 18?

The thermometer cost me £2.10, reduced from £3.

I have to say there weren't many people in the shop, considering a closing-down sale was going on.
