We've lost about 3 degrees in the last couple of days.

My thermometer claims it's 23 degrees but it feels more like 15.

I've been tempted to put the heating on.

I had to have the heater on in this hotel room yesterday morning. The weather soon warmed up though, people at the retail park weren't wearing coats.

The hygrometer(?) upstairs here was saying 28 degrees, but I've always thought that one displays a degree warmer than it is. The one downstairs went up to 25.1 degrees, which I've always thought of as more accurate, and it does feel cooler downstairs.

The air feels very stale and close in here. I'm going to have to open my window's air vent, even though it's raining outside.

Why is there no way to measure and accurately report the closeness of the air?
