So, I pushed it off the balcony and it fell 35 stories to the ground below and was the biggest thing ever to be pushed off the balcony of Kelvin Flats.

The moon and two other shiny things are currently in a straight line with each other.
They're pointing towards half-past-five in the sky.

You were observing, top to bottom, the Moon, Jupiter and Venus, all neatly strung out along the ecliptic which was indeed slanting down in a 'half past five' direction.
