I watched the second half of ET and a little bit of water came out.

They're now driving off into a new dawn together. love them

That does help counterbalance the overall dinginess of the whole thing. The sombre palette of fungus green cars, brown tree trunks and yellow Duke of Earl t-shirts

I'm currently 1/5 watching Convenience (normally I shun it due to its reactionary undertones), but I've alighted on a bit of Carry On that I swear I've never seen before. gasp

The ghost train scene.

Especially where Richard O'Callaghan beats Kenneth Cope up and it's all off camera but with shots of leering skulls and other ghost train things and that typical ghost train klaxon-siren wailing away.

It was genuinely weird and felt creepily wrong. scared

Was it the evil 2002 version with added scenes of a CGI E.T. and the all the police's guns replaced with walkie-talkies? oh no

Interesting broadcast choice given the current political situation.

I just did a genuine lol when Terry Scott's Cardinal Wolsey promised to smuggle out Joan Sims's Catherine of Aragon's letter in 'the only place the guards wouldn't search when he left the Tower' and she pulled out a very large large scroll with a seal on and everything.

The facial expression Terry Scott pulled was more-Kenneth Williams-than-Kenneth Williams. Tee Hee

I'm watching it now!

The past was miserable wasn't it? I mean the early 1970s, lol.

Christmas eyeballs must be removed and put into a refreshing glass of effervescent denture cleaner until next December.

By order.

It is over.

S'alright. Can't see me watching it again like. It's no Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer Ft. Burl Ives.

Love Your Christmas With Alan Titchmarsh is on ITV1.

That is the most ITV1 thing ever.

A Christmas Carol is on Sky Arts.

I wonder how many versions of A Christmas Carol will be broadcast, this Christmas?
