Re: What's in your Christmas eyeballs?
People I know like it, but I strongly suspect that I would too find it unfunny and worthless.
From the trailers I've seen, it has an overpoweringly strong whiff of dreary, overdressed, over-baked, 'kooky' BBC-ness about it.
On theotter other hand my friends forced me to watch some esipodes of Derry Girls the other day and that was, despite my initial wariness and cynicism, quite funny.

I'd buy a Carry On Blu-ray set, if it was £25 or something, nice upgrade to the about half of them on freebie DVDs I got with copies of the Sunday Sport or whatever it was back in the day.

I was on holiday once in a cottage with a married couple, and we weren't getting on so well so it was quite awkward. The only entertainment there was a freebie newspaper DVD of Carry On Camping. One evening we all watched it, and the onscreen Charles Hawtrey/Scott-Marsden dynamic resonated very strongly indeed

Much as I love the iconicness of Ghostbusters, isn't it a bit scary for afternoon viewing? Maybe it was just me when it was shown on TV in the 80s but there are some scenes which stuck with me as a child.

It wasn't until I was about 18 that I realised Ghostbusters wasn't a horror film. The humour completely passed me by. ![hide](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/2426547653.gif)

Re: What's in your Christmas eyeballs?
It would appear that ITV-whatever channel it normally is are showing back-to-back and wall-to-wall Carry On films this very moment. ![Excited](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4075307247.gif)

Re: What's in your Christmas eyeballs?
I've been watching the truly lugubrious Behind.
They've just had the touching, all-night reunion conversation in the caravan between Sims and Butterworth.
They're now driving off into a new dawn together.![love them](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4294744464.gif)
