There's a Keep Clear - in a non-standard font - on the actual pavement there, I've never seen that before.
Re: Interesting places on Google Maps etc
The K is especially amateurish.

They were so poor they could afford pavements.

It's scarier and more disorientating if you have a look around and then zoom out and try to get your geographical bearings.

Those cars look like they're growling at each other.

I wonder if there's a house with the number 999?

This is number 1001, Stratford Rd, Solihull
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.3919571,-1.8102662,3a,15y,41.97h,84.67t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1sVnAi0PJCwiLFfGOOMBGLFQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i40
and the house to the left must be number 999, but it doesn't seem to be numbered
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.3920157,-1.8103787,3a,58.4y,33.85h,80.9t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1scWBE0-VwbFuNG5gmRcQheA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i40
The weird thing is, I knew that Stratford Road had the highest house number in Britain (it's on the opposite side of the road to this picture, and further out towards the M42) but I hadn't realised that I've actually been there. I've stayed in the Premier Inn just down the road loads of times, and bought picnics in the big Tescos.

I was straying in Goosegog Lane, on Donkey Down, above the caravan park in Wales where we used to go when I was young, trying and failing to find the dramatic reverse shot from the top of the hill I used to look up backwards at while swinging on the swings which faced out into the bay; and not only did I not find the view, but I found myself trapped in this sinister, liminal Sapphire and Steel-esque Welsh place.

Is it someone's farmyard? Or is it a street which you aren't allowed to drive along? And more importantly, can you find the way out and back to the B4342 and civilisation? Clue - it's not the most obvious possibility.

One of the things I miss most about being a child is the ability to just wander over to the swings in a park, and fly backwards and forwards with your own thoughts.

Yes. I spent many happy hours swinging and looking at Cardigan Bay and contemplating.

If I get a garden I'll get a swing for myself. Not bad for core and abdominal toning while feeling all free.

Gosh that's uncanny, it's only 25 minutes' walk from my best friend's house.
