I felt it was a solid but unexceptional album that suffered, at times, from a corrosive spirit.

Well, that started off OK, but steadily wore out its lively and engagingly undemanding opening 1/3 by being snarky and faintly obnoxious and just generally running out of steam.

I can see why they divide people a lot, but for me, ultimately, they fell short even of their own limited targets and only managed to elicit in me a faint sense of annoyance amidst some mild toe-tapping pleasure.

Weirdly mediocre all things considered.
