Over.
Now what to give it, GR8 first and last tracks, but the plodding bluzes bores in the middle…

Doesn't seem to be a poll.

I much prefer Sylvester's disco and 80s stuff but it were alright for one listen, and of course the voice steals the show, but I can listen to that in any of the millions of lengthy disco tracks he did.
2.5/5
....rounded up to 3 for verting.

Re: Sylvester And The Hot Band – Sylvester And The Hot Band (1973)
Well, hmm, after the blisteringly ace 'quite literally better than the original' opener it meandered somewhat and became a bit lightweight (and even a bit silly on occasion).
Basically, it was an uneven album, with not a lot of original content or inventiveness to it.
However, Sylvester's voice is a sonic joy and the band were enthusiastic and dynamic throughout.
These wonderful qualities obscured, if not a multitude of sins, but rather a couple of duffers and faint lack of ambition overall.
Still, how can you ever give the man a low mark?
He's a love and it's enduringly bittersweet that he's no longer with us.

Or any sort of mark.
