For an album with exactly zero original ideas it was a lot better than I was expecting.

It is over.
Apart from the monster smash-hit single, it was all too hyperactive to be bearable.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, I sort of enjoyed that more than expecting, in a manic sort of a way; not what I'd normally choose to listen to but it had some "me" elements in there along the way and the hyperactiveness of it all kept me entertained throughout.

Despite the initial irritations (that on reflection will possibly seem like excellences) that was an endearing, stubborn, arrogant and boldly ambitious slice of the totally at-the-time uncool.
It wore its influences, at times embarrassingly, on it's begrimed epaulettes, but by the end it had won me over.
Fair play to that toffee-nosed twerp I met all those years ago at a party of Fitzwilliam Street (I have a memory as keen as the proverbial (by which I mean mustard).
She may have been on to something.
The Cardiacs probably.
