If so, then this was recorded years earlier.
SRSLY, this is an important development.
Like, how long have Aqua been going?
Were they contributing to movie soundtracks many years before they got famous?

The group also caused controversy with their [...] "Barbie Girl" single, with the Barbie doll makers Mattel filing a lawsuit against the group.
The lawsuit was finally dismissed by a judge in 2002, who ruled "The parties are advised to chill"

It is over.
That was a great big slab of impeccably judged subversive Pop, from start to finish.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Over!
Bit of a weak one to end on. Kidz album, but good for it. At the time.

OM*G, Sliding Doors came out in 1998.
And Aqua did indeed do a song for it.
Hence why there were clips from the film in the video.

Aqua's song "Turn Back Time" was released as a single in 1998 and topped the UK Singles Chart.
Well, I just give up.
Obviously I know much less about music and film than I thought I did.

Re: Aqua - Aquarium - (1997).
In my defence, I was very confused and on powerful drugs at the time (voluntarily I should add).
It was possibly the other way around however.
I just remember that my ex-wife actually went to see Sliding Doors at the kino and hated it so much and couldn't stop ranting about Paltrow, so it was striking.
ergo: I assumed it was from the mid-'90s.
This logic works perfectly.
If you're me.

Re: Aqua - Aquarium - (1997).
I listened to this the other night. I wasn't keen on Aqua at the time - not even in an ironic way - they just seemed naff full stop to me as a then 17ish-year-old who was starting to leave pop behind, though Turn Back Time was okay as a ballad.
But I acquired this album a few years ago by way of charity shop and was surprised at how relatively okay it is, with tuneful proper songs - though a lot with that annoying and relentless late 90s Eurodance beat. I even went on to acquire Aqua's SECOND album a bit later, which is pretty much the same idea.

Oh, I also deduct marks as the male singer's voice is absolutely horrendous - like Divine but without the so-bad-it's-good charm.
