Re: The waiting in thread
It has 8 opening doors!
It has a roof that opens!
It has three action figures!
It has an axe and metal cutters and a cable and a winch that turns!
It has a gear stick!
It has two hose pipes!
It has seats for the action figures!
It is twice the size, in every direction, as the Poundland fake Lego fire engine I bought!
And it only cost £10!

Re: The waiting in thread
On Wednesday I ordered some stuff by phone from a shop that I usually visit in person. I said 'Will you send it tracked?' and she said 'Yes, we'll send it Special Delivery and phone you when it's dispatched.'
I should have questioned her more closely, because of course special delivery isn't tracked. And they didn't phone me when it was dispatched - when I got back from Tescos this morning there was a missed delivery card from the postman.
I'm very cross about this, cos they misled me and broke their promise, and I paid £8 for special delivery, and I've got to go down the depot on Monday on my way to work to get my parcel.

Re: The waiting in thread
Still at PostNL!
And I've discovered that the world's cr*ppiest couriers, Yodel, will be handling the UK end.

Re: The waiting in thread
Don't forget to leave your wheelie bin in a convenient place, so that, when the courier rings your bell, he can dump your package in it before legging it, claiming you weren't in when he rang.

Rings your bell
You obviously get a better class of Yodel deliveryperson in your 'hood, Your Majesty.

Re: The waiting in thread
I would happily pay double price for couriers who actually did the job properly. Why isn't that option available?

Re: The waiting in thread
It's always the same when I order stuff online. I start off filled with anticipation and excitement, and I end up filled with apprehension and resentment.

Re: The waiting in thread
You could always have them delivered to your local post office/newsagent/whatever and collect them from there.
