My brother's sending me judgy texts implying I should cease my nomadism and travel to Essex to visit my dad in hospital. This despite my mum's clear instructions to wait till dad is let out next week.

I had to put the phone on aeroplane mode last night to get rid of him.

I remember he was just the same when our granny died, except we didn't have mobile phones then.

My bus home today broke down. It's the fifth bus I've been on this year that's broken down.

It was almost the second bus I've been on today that's broken down but the first bus I was going to get broke down before I even managed to get on it. So, I had to get the next bus, which then broke down after two miles.

I don’t think I’ve ever been on a bus that’s broken down. I have been on one that got stuck on a tight corner - it was a ‘bendy’ bus.

I've been on a broken down coach. I was 11 or 12 and we going on a school trip into Shropshire on two separate coaches and the other one broke down. All pupils on the other coach piled onto our coach for the rest of the journey, meaning there were probably the best part of 100 people crammed into a 50(?)ish seater coach. Not the most legal thing in the world.

I have been on a bus that broke down, or more accurately, wouldn't start. Luckily it was at the bus station, and another bus was brought forward to transport us.
