I was convinced I was going down with a cold or flu yesterday, but I woke up feeling well (or as well as I ever feel at 3.30am).

I have Googled the symptoms of the Coronavirus to make sure I don't have it.

And it turns out the symptoms are exactly the same as for a cold, so that's a fat lot of use. killcomputer

My office cellmate has returned after 2 days off sick, so I'll probably get whatever he had now.

That's my least favourite phase. At least the sneezing, coughing and vomiting phases make you feel like you're ridding yourself of badness. The shivering phase just makes you feel helpless and feeble. bawl

I have developed a slightly sore throat and a hoarse voice.

#BecomingExcited at what it might all mean.

I could really go a fortnight in bed and the potential for an oxygen mask. The last time I wore one I so enjoyed the lack of all effort that it entailed, I refused to remove it so they cut the supply.

Punch yourself in the sides. If it hurts a lot more than you expected, you might have kidney issues.

(source: what my doctor did to me when we weren't sure if my UTI might not be a kidney infection as well)

Great news! Think of the drugs, have fun.

There's always an upside. I've discovered that Botox is considered effective for TMJ so I'm booked in for some injections, and will legitimately be able to tell people it's for medical reasons, not vanity.

My cough has almost gone. I've not sneezed in about 24 hours. My sore throat is gone. My potential kidney failure is still ongoing and my hands are now numb.

That last symptom isn't one I've had before from a cold. Sly
