I called up the doctor's the other day and the receptionist kept saying "my friend" in a really patronising way whenever there was a question I asked and he didn't really know the exact answer to but was trying to buy time and therefore act like some kind authority re: the issue at hand.

It was as infuriating as it was nauseating.

I wanted to have a bath, clean my teeth, make my hair look a bit nice, get dressed in clean clothes, walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus, get the bus and then walk the 15 minutes from the bus stop to the doctor's and smash his f*****g stupid f*****g face in.

What a ****.

there's an episode of the Burkis Way where someones phoning up a Hospital, but it's actually run like a car repair garage, and the man on the phone keeps calling him variations of 'Chief', in increasingly zany* and spoofy* ways. I think Mahatma was one of them
