I think we need to split the above list into two parts.

1) Actual Buttertubs-curated playlists that absolutely have to be done in his presence.

And:

2) Playlists/albums created by others that he's 🐜-ed.

I suggest that the latter playlists can be done without his necessary presence (although it would of course be ideal if he was present).

I say this only because Butterpops is only available occasionally and, y'know, we'll never get to hear any of these albums at this rate.

PS - I really don't think that Butters would like that Candlemass album.

Or anyone else for that matter. shifty

Well, this is getting a bit technical and extreme. But I perhaps agree. Though having this many on my list is quite a rarity.

I don't mind hearing albums I won't like if they at least look interesting or intriguing, though the Candlemass one is probably towards the bottom of my list. creep

I do have some *musts* that others have created, such as Orange Juice, Mary Hopkin, Eurythmics, so perhaps we could tick some of those off over the coming week or so.

OK, so that considered (and because the Mary Hopkin playlist is yet to be fully realised) I'd suggest that we do either Orange Juice or Eurythmics tonight?

I couldn't find a full Frank Farian playlist either, and from what I've heard,

oops

A gr8est disco hits album would probably be more on point.

That said, I couldn't see a lot of those at Discogs either.

May as well do another Boney M album. yes

I'm wondering if we should clear one of mine next (I nominate Nona Hendryx for undisclosed reasons), followed by perhaps the Shangri-Las/Fatback Band (NJ), then Synergy/Zappa (pbbz), then Tony Christie/Persuaders (Wendi) and so on.

I like to think I've offered a decent mix of genres and creators there for the next four days, though any other suggestions are welcome. group hug

Nona Hendryx is 42 minutes long.

The Shangri-Las is 32 minutes.

1 hour, 14 minutes long.

I'm game, but others may consider that a bit of a stretch.

NH is, I imagine, likely to be a relatively intense guitar-driven (possibly harsh '80s produced) funk-rock type of experience.

In any event, I'd advise against Doing the Fatback Band second on any evening as it's pretty hardcore funk, ergo: it should probably be done first and followed up with something more relaxing.

Also, TFBB is 36 minutes long.

Then, in ascending order of running times

D. Dors is 32 minutes.
X is 33 minutes.
Malaria is 34 minutes.
Zappa is 34 minutes.
Tracie is 35 minutes.
Wombles is 35 minutes.
The Persuaders is 36 minutes.
Marvellous Marvin is 37 minutes.
Television is 37 minutes.
Bisquit is 38 minutes.
The Nice is (just shy of) 38 minutes.
Ridgley is 38 minutes.
Eurythmics is 39 minutes.

All the other ones on Tublets' list are well over 40 minutes long.

e.g. Tony Christie is about 52 minutes and the PMRC is knocking at the door of an hour.
