Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes. Obviously, their big claim to fame is having the humongous huge big hit Up Where We Belong with each other. But they also have something else in common, they've both tried to put some life into Leonard Cohen's First We Take Manhattan. But which version is best?

I can't decide. I prefer the arrangement on the Jennifer Warnes version but I prefer the character-filled vocals of the Joe Cocker version. Clearly, they should've done this as a duet as well and produced the perfectest rendition of the song ever.

I've just found out that the Jennifer Warnes' version was the original version and Leonard Cohen's version was recorded two years later.
