Depends how annoyed or inspired I am. Can be very fast. I learned with the silk scarf over your hands technique, so you can do it blind and at speed.

The downside, so I'm told by those in different rooms with closed doors, is that the keys are battered very loudly. If anything, the rhythm helps me concentrate.

Inspired by my attempts to teach myself touch-typing, I've just done the speed test again.

I managed 16 words per minute.
