The bird I mean has the blue and white bits that those have, but the rest of it is black like a magpie, not brown.

I always remember seeing the ones with the tufty crest on their birdy-bonces.

Perhaps that's a male or female, or it's splaying its feathers in some kind of s*xy or aggressive display...

I've been looking at pictures of magpies, and they do have blue feathers where this one did. So it was just a magpie.

I just found these two piccies I took of my ex and her daughter in Hyde Park last year.

You can't really see the parakeet in her hands in the first picture (cos it's bending over trying to see if she's actually got any food in her hand), but in the second one it's realised she doesn't and has b*ggered off in spectacular fashion. happy
