| Anyway, my earliest ancestors that I can trace were both born in 1816. One was from Liverpool and one was from Ireland. They both married each other. He had a surname that the Internet tells me originated in Italy. Apparently, her maiden name indicates she was descended from some Irish king or other. _________________ |

| Everyone else I've unearthed in my family tree has a name that originated in Yorkshire, the Midlands or Lancashire, and indicates they were common as muck. _________________ |

| I thought Lancashire and Yorkshire was an Israel v Palestine situation - two immediate neighbours that simply stare across the great dividing line at one another, in hatred and hostility. It sounds as if you are the product of loving peacemakers. |

That's what's always claimed but I've never encountered any signs of it. It's always been more about rivalries between towns and cities; Sheffied vs Leeds, Leeds vs Manchester, Manchester vs Liverpool, etc. _________________ |

| I had a pleasant walk through the local area with my mum this morning, and she started talking about my Great-uncle John, which reminded me of Wendi's genealogical discovery about her 'aunts' who were 60 years younger than Wendi thought, so I told mum all about it, and she was really interested, as genealogy is her hobby. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." | I asked my Mum about my Nanna's skellingtons in teh cupboard and she told me in great detail but I can't remember exactly what happened now and if I call my Mum again to ask she'll get really cross with me. _________________ Have you ever seen a Squonk's tears?
