I picked up a cheap external audio card thingy, I can now make "backups" of my LPs in Glorious 24/96Khz ~~gory~~ glory. Whatever that means.

had a bit of trouble at first, it was limited to, gasp... CD 'quality' vom

But after experimenting with it and, and errr... reading the manual, just look at that extended frequency response, and dat Quadrophonic/CD-4 30 kHz carrier... drool

A couple of weeks ago I soldered a mono phono cable to a 5 pin DIN socket, 3+5 connected 2 earth ⏚

Problem is with old tape deck is the belts go all soft and loose, sad yes
