Genuinely sad news. It feels slightly unreal. My heart raced when the black banner arrived on screen, and I did shed a tear.

I never did get to see her. I think I saw her burgundy car when I was in London circa 2003. I did briefly see Princess Diana so that's my royal claim to fame.

Without going into royal details too much as I know it's not hot topic on here, isn't that what the Queen Mother was known as - Queen Consort? Yet she wasn't an actual Queen - as far as I'm aware.
