I remember TOTP magazine was launched in 1995 as a sort of slightly more serious/"proper" music-orientated alternative to Smash Hits. But now it looks like it has gone back completely the other way to something far more childish than Smash Hits ever was!

Postman Pat has a surname - it's Clifton! gasp

I even watched it as a child yet couldn't have told you that.

I used to get Smash Hits. I remember very gently easing the staples apart with a biro so I could hang the Gary Barlow centrefold on my wall.

If you double-tap on your touchpad, with two fingers, it has the same effect as right-clicking on your mouse. gasp

The 1970s Hillman Avenger was sold in America - as the Plymouth Cricket.

Now that's interesting, in old school GTA there was a car called a Portsmouth which looked just like that (plan elevation) and which I suspected of being a Plymouth reference.

Cf the car in On The Road which the narrator describes as 'a f*g Plymouth, with no pickup and no power.'

Wendy & Lisa, of Prince backing band "The Revolution" fame, and who also had one hit here as a duo as seen recently on Top of the Pops 1989, had a long-term relationship together. dontpanic

I've just discovered that Dave Hill has sacked the drummer, meaning Dave's now the only original member of Slade still left in the band. dontpanic
