I didn't want people to feel their suggestions had been ignored.

I really dislike modern emojis.
Hate them in fact.

I don't mind the emojis, what I do mind is people who decorate their tweets with them unnecessarily.
And even worse, people who substitute them for words in their tweets, unnecessarily.
We moved on from pictograms for a reason

These emojis aren't too bad admittedly.
It's the smartphone ones I detest.
There may be a squillion of them for every occasion but to me they're aesthetically ugly, soulless, naff and lazy beyond, literally, yes.. WURDZ!
Old school smileys are genius by comparison.
I've argued with peopleat bus stops that smileys like are sublimely realised representations of, yes, actual E-MOTIONZ.

Re: Smileys on this forum
Does anyone want to second it? Remember, smileys need to be seconded to be adopted.

The 'sigh' one was just an afterthought BTW.
Although, the kitten one (that Butterpops scolded me for including text when I first suggested it) has come in very useful for me recently.
IMO, the only 'smiley' that captures genuine down-cast self-pity is 'sighkitten'.
However, 'sighkitten' is, IMO, a profoundly introspective and truly self-pitying expression, whereas has an outwardly pleading quality akin to .
Smileys on this forum are all about subtly sophisticated interpretations.
For me, captures a sentiment somewhere between Golirrano and Kittensigh.
Basically, it's even more pathetic and contemptible.
Like if Oliver Twist was too scared to say "more?" to the gruel-meister.
