The album was compiled with performances from different shows: - Olympia Stadium in Detroit on 7 May 1976 ('Lady Madonna'); - Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on 21 May 1976 ('My Love'); - Boston Garden in Boston on 22 May 1976 ('Live And Let Die', 'Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me)', 'Bluebird' and 'Magneto And Titanium Man'); - Madison Square Garden in New York City on 25 May 1976 ('Time To Hide' and 'Silly Love Songs'); - Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati on 27 May 1976 ('Venus And Mars', 'Rock Show', 'Jet', 'Let Me Roll It', 'Medicine Jar', 'Call Me Back Again' and 'Bluebird'); - Kemper Arena in Kansas City on 29 May 1976 ('Maybe I'm Amazed', 'The LOng And Winding Road', 'Listen To What The Man Said' and 'Letting Go'); - McNichols Sports Arena in Denver on 7 June 1976 ('Beware My Love', 'Band On The Run', 'Hi, Hi, Hi' and 'Soily'); - Kingdome in Seattle on 10 June 1976 ('Spirits Of Ancient Egypt'); - The Forum in Inglewood on 23 June 1976 ('Richard Cory', 'I've Just Seen A Face', 'You Gave Me The Answer', 'Go Now' and 'Let 'Em In'). 'Yesterday' is from an unknown performance between May and June 1976. Studio overdubs were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London between October and November 1976.
