Tug of War or Tug of Bore?
Paul McCartney - Tug of War - 1982.
It's the thread that had to happen! It's the LP that was supposed to be a Wings album but ended up being a solo album, allegedly because George Martin refused to produce it if it was released as a Wings album. Thus, despite being there for the early takes, Steve Holley and Laurence Juber were dropped.
However, Denny Laine and Linda were still on it, meaning the core trio from Band on the Run was present.
Some hail it as Macca's solo masterpiece but I've never liked it, finding it too polished and clean. However, there are individual tracks on it that I like and it certainly sounds more professional than some of Macca's 1970s work.

Re: Paul McCartney - Tug of War - 1982.
It's up to others. I'm perfectly happy to do it tonight but if others would rather do a different album, I will be fine with that.

As no one's rushed forward to say otherwise, I shall make an executive decision and announce that, by popular demand, we're doing this one at 8 o'clock tonight.

Re: Paul McCartney - Tug of War - 1982.
I reckon this song has one of the greatest melodies ever written.
