But you can tell McCartney actually likes pop music. |

Good grief. This. It's like Macca was stoned and 10cc came on the radio and he thought "oh, I can knock that rubbish into a c*cked hat". _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| All I'll say is Eric Stewart's on this album. _________________ |

| I have to say the version that just has Macca on it, without Stevie Wonder is a million times better, even though it's exactly the same apart from that. _________________ |

| Preposterous, ironic prog guitar break and kevin Godley vocal stylings. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| And it's over.
Bit of a funny one to end on.
Err.. Not sure about that one, highlight was the Steve Wonder one, "What's That You're Doing?" . Shame he never worked with Steve Wonder again. |

| I'm afraid to say that, just like "I Just Called to Say I Love You" the sweetness of the melody and the sincerity of the message shines through any cynicism I might feel. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| It is over. I actually enjoyed that more than I expected it to. George Martin's production is still too smooth but it's a stronger collection of songs than I remembered. It's a shame Wings were dumped for the project. Having the lineup that appeared on Back to the Egg would have added the rough edges and vigour the album needed. Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it. _________________ |
