I have to say the version that just has Macca on it, without Stevie Wonder is a million times better, even though it's exactly the same apart from that.

This is actually a great song once you ignore the corniness.

I'm afraid to say that, just like "I Just Called to Say I Love You" the sweetness of the melody and the sincerity of the message shines through any cynicism I might feel.

It is over. I actually enjoyed that more than I expected it to. George Martin's production is still too smooth but it's a stronger collection of songs than I remembered.

It's a shame Wings were dumped for the project. Having the lineup that appeared on Back to the Egg would have added the rough edges and vigour the album needed.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.
