It is over.
It was OK. It didn't massively thrill me but it didn't offend me either. I can think of lots of acts who've come along since who sound like it, so I assume it's been an influential record.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

That is an OK album.
Much better than Vintage Violence, but perhaps not as good as Paris 1919.
By Cale's standards it's pretty consistent and there are a few very good tracks in there.
However, with him I find that there comes a point where you get John Cale Fatigue - worn down by his dreary, angry, shouty bleakness, you can no longer see beyond it to what might be some pretty and pretty interesting songs.

Not in itself I'd say.
Cale's more influential in regards to all the solo stuff he did in the '70s and, obviously, VU.
