Complete rip-off of something.

Sounds like very very like Clapton's Wonderful Tonight.

Virtually note-for-note the CODA from PD.

This is a poor choice for last song.

Re: Suede - Coming Up (1996)
Picnic should've been the last track.

Re: Suede - Coming Up (1996)
It is over.
I felt that was a decent album. Not entirely my cup of tea and Brett's voice is a bit wearing at times but there was nothing actively offensive about it and the tracks all pulled their weight.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

I have very mixed feelings about that record.
It would be daft of me to wheel out the 'it was a difficult time for me' trope again.
Only it was.
But it was also quite exciting.
Personally, emotionally the album was an actual part of my life, spanning the collapse of my marriage and my descent into a world of illicit dalliances.
I was never a fan of Suede's first two albums, but in truth never really payed them any heed, so I came to this without any, musical at least, preconceptions.
Butler leaving was obviously, to fans, a major blow, but to me the album works on its own terms.
The playing is by-and-large anonymous, the melodies fitfully good and the lyrics consistently silly, amusing and charming in equal measure.
For me it's a (surprising)...

Stevie-ButtonZ is off making himself a mint julep obviously.
Or Wendi's making up a pint of 50/50 cider/Ribena .

Re: Suede - Coming Up (1996)
I've been generating the average scores of all the properly done albums and Suede have achieved something very few have.
