Re: The Weather Thread
I hate it when it stays cold for days on end. -3 it was again last night. I was shivering in bed even with 2 duvets and a fleece throw.

Re: The Weather Thread
It's been raining steadily since about 3pm. I'm fine with that though, I'm all snug inside and I have a spare avocado for tomorrow.

Although the weather has turned milder, today I purchased an additional fleece throw in case of further cold spells.
Re: The Weather Thread
It's rather windy this morning.

Re: The Weather Thread
It is a bit windy here too but is otherwise a nice, sunny, mild day.

It's bright and sunny here too now.
I was going to do some gardening but I noticed it's only 4 C outside. I don't garden unless it's 6 C or more.

Re: The Weather Thread
Damn, it's 6.2 C, so I have to go and prune the apple tree.

Re: The Weather Thread
I bought an extra duvet this morning from Sainsburys. I now have 3 duvets with a total tog rating of 36.

And they're all on my bed simultaneously, I mean.

Re: The Weather Thread
I have the lowest tog rated duvet available.
I also don't wear gloves when gardening, or for any other reason.

The Call of the Wendigo wrote:I don't know what my tog rating is.
A thin summer duvet, such as Nightojar uses when there's actual snow falling in his bedroom, is 4.5 tog.
An all-purpose medium duvet is 10.5 tog.
A winter duvet is 13.5 tog, and an extra-heavy, high cosiness winter duvet like the one I bought today is 15 tog
