I've still got that hard, icy feeling though.

Re: Roxy Music - Siren (1975)
It is over.
It was OK. It was clearly a "quality" album though, personally, I found it too emotionally detached for me to fully get into but shall probably give it 4 stars because it was good on its own terms.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

It is now over.
That was alright.
The Second track was giving me 80s Bryan Ferret boredom shakes, but side 2 had a lot more going for it, I didn't miss Eno as much I was expecting.

It was approaching but almost never reached* that slight Polished Pop feel I get with people like Blondie, it's perfectly good, if it came on the radio it's good, but I don't want to put it on my record player and activity listen to it.
You know what I mean? Me tired, me go bed now.

Re: Roxy Music - Siren (1975)
I associate the album with a time and place that I was very at home with and very anxious and alienated from.
Geneva, early '00s.
Lots of very rich, cool kids who were, although Francophone from birth but by dint of their Swiss-ness, uncool and lazy on a Eurotrash level nonpareil.
If you drunk loads and got drunk you were a bit weird.
They all huffed superior cocaine from funny, whizzy gadgets like kazoos.

Roxy Music were, Eno-wise, like Pink Floyd were Barrett-wise.
They barely skipped a beat.
They barely skipped a beat.
