Blackmore or Satriani?
It's the news that's been spliting the on line community in twain!
Richie Blackmore has been diss' the satch! (Do they call him that?
But's side do you take on the widdle widdle fight?

"Joe Satriani is a brilliant player, but I never see him really searching for notes; I never hear him playing a wrong note. Jimi Hendrix used to play lots of wrong notes because he was searching all the time - 'Where the hell is that correct note?!' And when he did find that right note - wow, that was incredible.
"If you're always playing the correct notes, there's something wrong - you're not searching, you're not reaching for anything. But that's not to say that he isn't a very brilliant player.
But's side do you take on the widdle widdle fight?

Re: Blackmore or Satriani?
I voted for Satriani because he has a fancier name. I've not really heard enough of either playing for me to be able to pass a definitive judgement on their actual guitar playing.

I didn't like either of them. It all seemed like aimless rambling.
Compare them to the focused doing-the-businessness of the great Jimmy McCulloch.

To be fair, Deep Purple did actually have some songs, while While The Joe Satriani Experience only did that sort of thing.
