Ban Hammer to anyone who uses the word Walrus
Re: Barry White – I've Got So Much To Give (1973)
Barry White isn't really just a singer with a big budget behind him.
He's a band leader in the old(er) school mould like Duke Ellington, Basie or Goodman...
The whole operation is directed by him - orchestra, backing singers, production and arrangements.
His music can't be appreciated properly if you just see him as a singer.
He's a mastermind.
It's strongly arguable that he invented Disco.
It's undeniable that he's awesome.

The Call of the Wendigo wrote:I can't help feeling this is an EP masquerading as an album.
They have to be long tracks for the Discotheque DJ to have a 'rest break'

What's more, this is a relatively weak album.
Well, perhaps not weak exactly.
Less exquisitely formed perhaps.
