Reading back the posts, I've a horrible feeling I've caused people to get the wrong end of the stick.

My mum died when I was very little, and I have no memory of her.

Because I never saw anyone from her side of the family, when I was growing up, I knew nothing about them. I didn't even know anything about my mum, apart from her name. I just sort of felt like that side of the family didn't exist, and never thought about it.

When I was little, my Nan would always be going on about Auntie This and Auntie That but I didn't know who they were and assumed they must have been her aunties, not realising they were mine. Clearly, she didn't realise I didn't have a clue who they were and just assumed I knew who she was talking about.

Because I currently need certain documentation, I've had to find out details about my mum, to put on a form. That has led me on this quest.

This has led to greater enlightenment, on my behalf.

I may not be as British as I thought. shifty

Ooh, I wonder whether I'm experiencing some side effects.

My head's a bit achy, I'm a little dizzy and my ears are ringing.

Seems a bit odd for it be happening 36 hours after the jab though.

I've now managed to trace my ancestry back to the 1830s.

All my ancestors seem to have been poor and have not lived long. bawl
