Denny Laine or Denny Paine?
Re: Denny Laine - Japanese Tears (1980).
This is the best produced track on the album.

Yes, the show Japanese Tears (ITV - 1987-1991).
Terry McCann moves to Tokyo and becomes the 'Minder' for the loveable rogue and used Datsun dealership owner Atherukuoka Dailiru.

It is over.
That was a very mixed bag and did have a cobbled together feel to it. In places, it was very dull. In others, genuine talent showed through.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I shall give it 2 stars, as I felt the highlights were too thin on the ground and it was mostly lifelessly produced.

Denny Laine's original, chaotic, version from 1967:WhatDoesThisButtonDo? wrote:The Call of the Wendigo wrote:This is a genuinely great song.Nightjar wrote:I've always disliked this song.
I don't think I know the original.
Colin Blunstone's far more refined cover of it from 1972, which is much better known:

She only made two 7" singles. As far as I can tell.
