They're having ago.
It's a tragically wan note-for-note, soulless version.

Really does sound like Debbie Harry on this one.

I swear, I'm going to play this to some girls people I know and see whether they believe me when I say this is Dezza Hazza.

But, surely, it's Debbie Harry who was ripping her off?

Re: Linda Ronstadt - Mad Love (1980).
It is over.
That was rubbish. A great singer lumbered with a rubbish band and a terrible producer, not to mention a somewhat random selection of songs.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

It's weird because I've always liked her version of Alison. Now I'm going to have to check to see if it's the same producer and musicians. It didn't feel like it was.

Mine isn't even valuable.
In truth it's virtually worthless.
Negative value probably.
Still, I feel laid barren by the insipidity of the product.
Product.
Like low-sugar raspberry flavoured plum jam filling in a Poundland Jammy Dodger.
But minus as good.
As bad an album as we've ever done.

I thought the production was pretty good.

I've never been one of those who've ever considered her a "great" singer.
Nice, just about covers it.
