I heard a good play on Radio 4 once about a woman hiding out in a tower block flat with nothing to amuse her except an illegal CB radio.

ISTR that yes, the illegal ones in those days were AM ones from America.

Does anyone else remember the Kids' Band Radio comic strip? It was a weird foreshadowing of social media.
