Dixie Chicken or Dead Duck?
Re: Little Feat - Dixie Chicken (1973)
It's over.
But not out.
One of my favourite albums of all time.
Arguably LF's best - although another of theirs might work better for a Nu-HotW commentary in truth.

It is over.
Nothing happened that contained any musical interest.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Some nice songs, but lacking in energy and a spark of excitement to ignite the songs.

In many respects - and speaking as determinedly objectively as I possibly can - it may just be too short and come over as a bit slight, especially when listened to in one go like a CD or playlist.
For me it'll always be a proper elpee with all two sides and everything.

If you'd listened/you listen to the first couple of tracks I'm sure you'd give it four stars anyway.
