| Who Can I Turn To Stereo looks a good pick right off the bat. Is that Sleazy on the cover there? Looks like Sleazy. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| 50 minutes The ones they did with the late Graham Bowers were good, but I think they all were doubles, I think we did do The Sylvie and Babs Hi-Fi Companion on the old forum? _________________ What does an Argonian do when he returns home for a back-breaking day of working in the field? I've always gravitated towards the earlier ones I saw in Rough Trade when I was teenager (Bad Moon Rising, Evol, etc), but the consensus seems to be that Sister is the best one.
Sister?
It's only 37 minutes long. I've got the first second one, hawh, boring unless you find the sound of an overdriven guitar interesting. I think I heard a could of tracks of Goo that sounded much better, you know actual tunes and all that. Should do a Pixies one as well. I kinda avoided missed them back in the day. Probably too young. Possibly not even born and all that. _________________ What does an Argonian do when he returns home for a back-breaking day of working in the field? My vote goes for this one as I remember seeing it on the CD racks of my local white goods store-cum-record shop. |

Everything about this sounds thoroughly seedy and wrong. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| I'm not sure about the Isabella Lovestory one, it's all sung in foreign, too sexy and as dancy pop, too modern bit too samey for this delicate forum. _________________ What does an Argonian do when he returns home for a back-breaking day of working in the field? | OK, it's difficult to find a definitive Burt Bacharach record to do, but I have that massive "The Look of Love" compilation on my iTunes and the Dionne Warwick songs are pretty much the definitive versions of many of his songs, so... Oh, no, I've just had a look at the full playlist and it's a nightmare. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| There are just too many classic songs done definitively by too many gr8 artistes.

| It doesn't begin to cover BB's canon. It's also probably only about 24 minutes long. The DW stuff I winkled out of "The Look of Love" comp alone was 47 minutes long! If you look at the track listing you'll see how daunting the list (of the notable, famous tracks worth covering) is - from the original theme to The Blob right through to the Butterpops (probably) approvable songs like "That's What Friend's Are For" and "Arthur's Theme". And even then, when you think it's all over - there's a song with Elvis Costello to warm the c*ckles pf Wendi's unmentionables. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| I've managed to whittle it down to about 106 minutes (although it's arguable that a few more can go because, rather than being especially good or iconic songs, they're instead sung by someone unusual or for something out of the ordinary - Richard Chamberlain, Bobby Goldsboro, Manfred Mann and the Casino Royale theme tune for example)... _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)
